ERC-20 meme token on Ethereum with no product beyond trading. It uses the cat artwork on ethereum.org and a Vitalik Farcaster post about cats as lore, and disclaims any Ethereum Foundation affiliation. The contract was deployed in August 2024; the current site and X account appeared in August 2026 around a community revival.

  • Current X @ETHCAT__ joined 22 Aug 2026 and links ethcat.fun; bio matches this contract. CoinGecko lists it as ethereumcat.
  • Site claims 1B supply, ownership renounced, and liquidity burned. Ethplorer shows owner 0x000...000. LP-token burn was not independently confirmed.
  • A separate project, Ethereum Cat Gio ($GIO), also claims to be the cat on ethereum.org. Other ETHCAT tickers exist on different contracts.

  • No named team, no GitHub, and no public identity for the 2026 X and site operators.
