Been digging into InferHood and I think people are underestimating what’s being built here. My thesis is pretty simple: AI agents are going to consume an absurd amount of inference. But an autonomous agent shouldn’t need separate OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek accounts, multiple API keys, credit cards, billing dashboards and manual top-ups just to operate. That infrastructure was designed for humans. InferHood is building it for machines. One API. One endpoint. Multiple models. Intelligent routing. Programmatic payments through x402. Settlement on Robinhood Chain. Instead of an agent caring about who provides the intelligence, it can simply request the job and let InferHood route it based on cost, latency, availability and capability. That becomes much more interesting when you think beyond today's chatbots. Trading agents. Research agents. Autonomous businesses. Onchain bots. Developer agents. Multi-agent systems. They'll all need compute, and eventually they need a native way to discover → pay → consume inference without a human sitting in the middle. That's the bet. And $INFER isn't being positioned as some random token slapped onto an AI dashboard either—the API access layer itself is currently token-gated for holders. If Robinhood Chain actually develops a meaningful machine-commerce ecosystem, infrastructure sitting directly between agents, payments and AI inference could become one of the more interesting layers of that stack. Still early. But I like projects where the thesis gets stronger as autonomous agents become more capable. Agents need intelligence. Intelligence costs money. Machines need rails to buy it.
