RAY is the governance token of Raydium, an automated market maker on Solana. It is used for staking to earn protocol fees, securing allocations for initial DEX offerings, and participating in governance decisions. The protocol integrates with OpenBook's central limit order book, allowing liquidity providers to serve both AMM swaps and traditional order book trades simultaneously from a single position.
